Video: Taylor Hall slams into post, exits game

Hall injury

The Edmonton Oilers lost Taylor Hall for tonight’s game against the Vancouver Canucks. Now all they can do is hope that his injury isn’t major.

Hall charged hard towards the Canucks’ net, lost his footing and his leg rammed into the post as a result. The good news is he was able to get back to his feet and gingerly skate off the ice, but the Oilers confirmed that he suffered a leg injury when they announced that he wouldn’t return before the conclusion of their contest.

You can view that incident below:

For the sake of comparison with the worst case scenario, here is the play that left Steven Stamkos with a broken right tibia:

For whatever it’s worth, Stamkos initially appeared to be worse off than Hall. We’ll see if Hall’s injury does prove to be less severe.
