Vladimir Tarasenko had his second multi-goal game in less than a week to help St. Louis earn a 3-2 shootout victory over Colorado.

Tarasenko netted his fifth and sixth goals of the season to provide all the offense the Blues needed tonight to get to the shootout. His first marker of the game was quite the gem of a shot:

St. Louis had a 2-0 lead early in the third period, but they got into some penalty trouble and Colorado took full advantage of it with back-to-back power-play goals. Nathan MacKinnon earned his second straight two-point game in the process.

The Avalanche only won two of their last six games, but at least they’ve been pushing games into overtime. They haven’t lost in regulation time since Oct. 18 and now have 11 points in 12 contests despite the fact that they’ve only earned three victories all season.
