From the Carolina Hurricanes:
Coach Peters said he does not expect Alexander Semin to be in the #Canes lineup Saturday with a couple healthy bodies returning.

Semin, in case you missed it, was benched during Tuesday’s 4-1 loss in Vancouver, after he took an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty early in the third period.
“He’d played enough,” coach Bill Peters said, per NHL.com. “I don’t think we need to take undisciplined penalties when we are trying to dig out of a hole, right? You’re in a hole. Quit digging.”
Forwards Nathan Gerbe and Patrick Dwyer are the aforementioned healthy bodies returning.
Semin has no goals and two assists in eight games.
Carolina (0-6-2) is the NHL’s only winless team.
