The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Jayson Megna from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, the club announced on Thursday.
Megna, 24, is with the big club for depth purposes but could draw into tonight’s game against the defending Stanley Cup champion Kings, as Pittsburgh head coach Mike Johnston spoke favorably about his performance thus far:Coach Johnston on Megna: “Megs was good down there in Wilkes… He’s not a big guy, but he does finish his checks.” pic.twitter.com/1GxcRtph69

A one-year standout at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, Megna signed with Pittsburgh in 2012 and made his NHL debut last season, scoring five goals and nine points in 36 games for the Penguins.
