The Columbus Blue Jackets suffered a 5-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators tonight, but that might not be the worst of it. They also watched forward Artem Anisimov leave the contest after being hit in the head by Ottawa’s Eric Gryba.

You can see that incident below:

When the Blue Jackets ruled Anisimov out for the rest of the game, they referred to it as an upper-body injury. It remains to be seen if he has a concussion, but he does have a history of head injuries.

Gryba was given a game misconduct and match penalty for his actions, but he might be punished further. He has a suspension history as he was previously banned from two contests for hitting Lars Eller in the head. Eller was hospitalized due to a concussion and facial fractures.
