Carcillo (knee) expected to miss four weeks

Dan Carcillo

Dan Carcillo’s second stint with the Chicago Blackhawks is starting to look a lot like his first in one very unfortunate way. The 29-year-old forward has once again been sidelined due to a knee injury and this time he’s expected to miss four weeks, per CSN Chicago’s Tracey Myers.

Carcillo sustained the injury on Saturday when he was struck by Blues forward T.J. Oshie:

Prior to the injury, Carcillo had a goal and two penalty minutes in seven games with Chicago in 2014-15. He also was averaging 7:38 minutes of ice time per contest.

He entered the summer as an unrestricted free agent and joined the Penguins’ training camp on a tryout basis. After failing to make Pittsburgh’s opening game roster, he signed a one-year, $550,000 contract with the Blackhawks.
