Journeyman forward Brad Staubitz is off to the German League.
Staubitz, who’d most recently spent time in the Toronto organization, has agreed to join second division outfit EV Landshut, the club announced on Wednesday.
The 30-year-old heads overseas after a lengthy stint in North America, where he appeared in 230 NHL contests with the Sharks, Wild, Habs and Ducks. Staubitz’s best season came with in Minnesota during the 2010-11 campaign, when he had a career-high nine points in 71 games while leading the team with 173 penalty minutes.
Staubitz came to Toronto as part of the Peter Holland-Jesse Blacker trade with Anaheim last season but never played for the Leafs, spending all of his time with the AHL Marlies.
