‘Hawk down: Crawford (upper body) to miss next two games

The injury that forced Corey Crawford to miss last night’s win over the Flyers will cost him Chicago’s next two games as well.

Coach Q: Crawford will not make this weekend’s trip to Nashville or St. Louis. Hopes Crow will get back on the ice while the team’s away.

It’s unclear exactly what happened to Crawford or how he sustained the injury. He was scheduled to start against the Flyers and practiced on Monday, but didn’t take to the ice at all on Tuesday and remains listed as day-to-day.

Antti Raanta, who ascends to the No. 1 role while Crawford is out, looked good in his season debut last night by stopping all 32 shots faced. Raanta is currently being backed up by Scott Darling, recalled yesterday from AHL Rockford. (Darling could play Sunday against Ottawa, per the Chicago Sun-Times.)
