After four-game absence, Coburn back for Flyers (Update: nope, still out)

The Flyers will need all the help they can get in trying to shut down Chicago tonight -- and help is what they’re getting.

Defenseman Braydon Coburn, who’s missed the last four games with an injured left foot, will return to the lineup tonight when Philly takes on the ‘Hawks at the United Center, per multiple (see here and here) reports.

Coburn, 29, hasn’t played since a season-opening loss to Boston in which he played over 20 minutes, registering three shots on goal and a plus-1 rating. Getting him back is, as mentioned above, a boon for the Flyers -- the team has struggled defensively to start the year and is allowing 3.8 goals per game, third-most in the NHL.

UPDATE: Well, this is interesting... despite reports to the contrary, Coburn was held out of the lineup tonight (after taking warmups) and will miss his fifth consecutive contest.

Coburn is indeed out. MacDonald and Grossmann will continue to be a pair.

After taking warmups, #Flyers D Braydon Coburn (lower body) is a healthy scratch tonight vs. #Blackhawks according to early roster report
