Arizona Coyotes forward Brandon McMillan was shaken up after a heavy hit from Edmonton Oilers forward Nail Yakupov during the second period of Wednesday’s game.
The hit occurred as McMillan was picking up the puck along the boards in his defensive end. Yakupov drilled the 24-year-old McMillan into the glass, causing the Arizona forward to immediately hit the ice.
McMillan was very slow to get up and in obvious pain as he went to the bench, hunched over. There was no call on the play. McMillan, who had an assist in the first period, did remain in the game, playing three second-period shifts after that, and returning for the third period as well.
Looks like McMillan might be cut. Keep seeing a Kleenex go to his face.

Meanwhile, the Oilers’ Twitter quickly posted a clip of the hit, to go along with the hashtag #Nailed.
