Gustav Nyquist is heating up. The Detroit Red Wings forward had goals in each of his first two games to begin this season.
He recorded his third goal in as many games with a perfect wrist shot Wednesday, as the Red Wings hosted the Boston Bruins. Nyquist walked off the boards to the top of the faceoff circle and ripped his shot - from his off wing - past Boston’s goalie Tuukka Rask less than three minutes into the third period.
Talk about picking the corner.
The goal got the Red Wings on even terms, tying the game at 2-2 and eventually sending it to overtime.
