Habs send Bournival down to minors (temporarily)

Michael Bournival

Michael Bournival hasn’t been able to get a game this season, so the Canadiens have done something to address that issue.

On Wednesday, the Habs sent Bournival down to AHL Hamilton so he could play a pair of games with the Bulldogs. Per ESPN, the 22-year-old forward will be back up with the big club on Monday.

Bournival broke onto the scene in Montreal last year, making his NHL debut and finishing with seven goals and 14 points in 60 games. He also made 14 appearances during the Canadiens’ run to the Eastern Conference Final, but was unable to make his way into the lineup this year as Montreal opened with a four-game road swing.
