Nabby goes for Tampa Bay

After Ben Bishop started the first three games, Evgeni Nabokov will make his Lightning debut tonight when the Bolts host the Devils at Amalie Arena.

Nabokov, 39, came over from the Islanders this summer to provide veteran experience behind Bishop, and hopefully provide more stability at the backup spot than Anders Lindback did a season ago. Nabokov went 15-14-8 with a 2.74 GAA and .905 save percentage for the Isles in 2013-14.

For New Jersey, Cory Schneider will get the start in goal.

San Jose aims to blank the Caps

Antti Niemi gets the call as San Jose looks to keep its shutout streak going for a third consecutive game. The Sharks opened their campaign with a 4-0 win over the Kings -- Niemi stopped all 34 shots faced -- and that was followed by a 30-save shutout from Alex Stalock against the Jets on Saturday.

The Caps, meanwhile, will go with Braden Holtby for the third straight game. Holtby has been stellar thus far, allowing just one goal on 58 shots, good for a .981 save percentage, and has a shutout streak of his own going (hasn’t surrendered a goal since the third period of the season-opener against Montreal).
