The Winnipeg Jets put up a six-spot on the Arizona Coyotes to begin their respective regular seasons, and that left Arizona’s head coach Dave Tippett to call for better goaltending during his post-game comments.

“We need better goaltending that that. It’s as simple as that,” said Tippett, as per Craig Morgan of FoxSportsArizona.

It’s certainly not complicated.

The Coyotes lost to the visiting Jets by a final score of 6-2, giving up four goals in the opening 20 minutes. Blake Wheeler and Bryan Little each scored twice for Winnipeg.

Mike Smith, Arizona’s goalie, was left in the net for all six goals, which he allowed on just 27 shots.
