Almost thankfully, Colorado Avalanche head coach Patrick Roy pulled goalie Semyon Varlamov after two periods against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday.

The Avalanche went into the second intermission trailing the Wild 5-0, after Minnesota scored four times in the second period to put this one well out of reach. Varlamov faced 38 shots through two periods. Stopped 33 of those.

In to replace Varlamov is Reto Berra.
