Come on! Dubinsky undergoes surgery, out six weeks

That was probably the reaction in Columbus on Wednesday after the Jackets announced that Brandon Dubinsky would miss the next six weeks following abdominal surgery.

Dubinsky, 28, now joins a staggering list of injured Jackets: Nathan Horton, Ryan Murray, Boone Jenner and Brian Gibbons, all of whom will start the season on the sidelines.

What’s more, it’s unclear if Columbus’ leading scorer from last season — Ryan Johansen — will be able to play in Thursday’s season-opener against Buffalo; Johansen missed all of the preseason and exhibition campaign to a contract impasse, and is dealing with fitness and form issues.
