It may have been just an exhibition game, but top-rated NHL Draft prospect Jack Eichel left a mark in his debut with Boston University Saturday night.

Eichel, 17, had five assists as the Terriers hammered St. Thomas (New Brunswick) 12-1.

The Massachusetts-born center, is expected to be one of the top picks in the 2015 NHL Draft along with Connor McDavid of the Ontario Hockey League’s Erie Otters.

Not to be out-done, McDavid had two goals and two assists as his Otters defeated the Sarnia Sting 7-3 Saturday.

McDavid,17, now has five goals and 12 points in four games for the Otters this season.

The Otters’ forward even rocked the team’s outlandish player of the game suit after the win:

The two forwards will be neck and neck all season as they aim to be the top pick at the draft, which will be held at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida in June 2015.
