Here’s another Red Wings injury update. Feels like we post a lot of these.
From MLive.com:
Detroit Red Wings forward Tomas Tatar stayed off the ice Thursday as a precaution but otherwise felt fine one day after hitting his head against a linesman’s knee.
He said he passed his concussion tests and is experiencing no headaches.
“It’s definitely way better than last night after the hit,” Tatar said. “We decided to take day off for the rest of the body and hopefully I will feel good tomorrow and be ready to go.”
Tatar isn’t expected to play Friday in Toronto and is questionable for Detroit’s preseason finale on Saturday in Boston.
The Wings open their regular season next Thursday at home to the Bruins.
PS -- Pavel Datsyuk (shoulder) “took a little spin” today.
PPS -- Babcock is hoping Darren Helm (groin) and Jonathan Ericsson (hip flexor) can play at least one of the final two preseason games.
Stop getting hurt so much, Detroit.
