Gustav Nyquist appeared to get injured in some way during Saturday’s preseason game against the Boston Bruins, but the Detroit Red Wings seem optimistic early on, as various sources including MLive.com’s Ansar Khan report.
Per Holland on Nyquist: Looks like he's going to be OK, will know more tomorrow.

As noted, the Red Wings expect to provide an update on Sunday. For the record, more than a few people have noted that the organization has been ... spotty with early injury prognoses in the past:
The Red Wings certainly hope that their rising 25-year-old is indeed OK, especially on the heels of Pavel Datsyuk’s separated shoulder sidelining him between four and five weeks.
Much like last season, the Red Wings are probably hoping that Nyquist can absorb some of the burden of Datsyuk’s absence. Nyquist scored 39 of his 48 points from the 2013-14 in the 41 games he played once the calendar turned to 2014. In the same span, Datysuk’s generated five points in 11 injury-marred contests. It’s a bit much to ask Nyquist to replicate that pace in 2014-15, but it’s clear that he’d be a go-to guy with Datsyuk on the shelf.
If Nyquist isn’t on the shelf himself, that is.
