The Vancouver Canucks hope to roll four lines in 2014-15, so that means doing due diligience in finding as many options as possible. Apparently that includes handing journeyman forward J.T. Wyman a training camp tryout, according to the Vancouver Province’s Ben Kuzma.

Wyman, 28, has 44 scattered games of NHL experience under his belt. He didn’t catch on with the Colorado Avalanche last summer after getting some preseason reps. Instead, he scored 22 points in 66 AHL games with the Lake Erie Monsters. He played one game with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2012-13 ant saw his most action in 40 contests with the Bolts back in 2011-12.

Not exactly a staggering resume, but the forward has decent size and GM Jim Benning seems fairly positive about him:

A long shot? Probably, but maybe he’s worth a glance.
