Anaheim’s AHL affiliate the Norfolk Admirals announced the signing of a handful of players (many with NHL experience) on Thursday. The most recognizable names were Dave Steckel and Brad Winchester, while the rest of list included Kevin Lind, Steve MacIntyre, Nathan McIver, and Etienne Marcoux.

Steckel (pictured) played six games with the Ducks last season. The 32-year-old made his biggest mark on the NHL as a face-off specialist. With 425 games of NHL experience under his belt, Steckel could conceivably serve as a nice mentor for prospects and maybe some emergency forward insurance.

Winchester, 33, hasn’t played in the NHL since appearing in 67 games with the San Jose Sharks back in 2011-12. His physical presence can be seen in the 552 penalty minutes he accrued over 390 NHL games.

Lind, 22, was a sixth-round pick by Anaheim back in 2010. MacIntyre, 34, is a journeyman defenseman with 91 games of NHL experience. McIver, 29, last saw NHL action with Anaheim way back in 2008-09, totaling 36 games in his career. Marcoux, 20, is an undrafted goalie fresh out of the QMJHL.
