Dan Boyle seems to be in no hurry to talk about a contract with the New York Islanders.
Boyle’s rights were acquired by the Islanders earlier this month, however his current six-year, $40 million deal is set to expire, making him an unrestricted free agent this summer. The former San Jose Sharks defenseman also turns 38 years of age in July.
G. Bazos, Dan Boyle's agent, said that Boyle still hasn't made a decision on whether to negotiate with #Isles. "We have no real timetable."

The #Isles, however, may have a timetable to get Boyle signed. Could look to move his rights if there's no decision in next 7-10 days.

There was also a report last week stating there was a “very slim to no chance” that Boyle would sign with the Islanders. And then there was the report stating the Toronto Maple Leafs had an interest in the offensive defenseman.
