Blackhawks forward Brandon Saad didn’t dazzle anyone with his third goal of the playoffs on Sunday, but putting himself in front of Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick during a first period power-play, he was in a position to capitalize on teammate Nick Leddy’s shot.

It’s something Saad wants to do more of against Los Angeles in the Western Conference Final.

“I can get goals different types of ways, and I think getting to the net more, especially in the playoffs, is how they’re going to come,” Saad said, per the Chicago Tribune.

Getting guys in front of Quick is easier said than done and it’s a task made harder for Chicago as long as forward Andrew Shaw is on the sidelines.

“Shaw does a great job with that,” Saad acknowledged. “You see it every night. With him out especially, someone has to take that role.”

He’ll try to be that guy in Game 2 on Wednesday (8:00 p.m. ET -- NBCSN).
