Call it setting the tone.
The final minutes of Game 4 between two bitter rivals, the L.A. Kings and San Jose Sharks, was packed with disdain once it became clear who was going to win the game. The Kings, needing a victory to stay alive in the series and avoid a sweep in the first round, defeated the Sharks by a final score of 6-3.
The final seconds were sure eventful. A massive scrum broke out near the Kings bench with 24 seconds remaining, resulting in nothing but roughing minors for San Jose forwards Mike Brown, Raffi Torres and Andrew Desjardins, as well as L.A. defenseman Willie Mitchell and forward Kyle Clifford.
A few seconds later, Justin Williams and Justin Braun got into a short scrap, before the main event between Brent Burns and Robyn Regehr erupted at the buzzer.
By the way, Game 5 is Saturday back in San Jose.
