Bob Hartley will be back as head coach of the Flames next season.
Via the Calgary Sun’s Eric Francis, acting general manager Brian Burke confirmed Hartley’s job security, while also taking a shot at Hartley’s coaching nemesis in Vancouver:
Brian Burke: "Bob is going to coach this team next year. Once we get a new GM I will encourage him to address his contract then"

Burke: "John Tortorella should start worrying about John Tortorella and the Vancouver Canucks and keep his mouth shut."

On Sunday, Tortorella called it “embarrassing” to coach against Hartley -- “Some of the things that went on when [Daniel Sedin] was hurt, it’s embarrassing.”
He added: “I am not going to go any further. I don’t like the way he does business. I don’t like him.”
It wasn’t the first time Tortorella has been angry with Hartley...
Torts on Flames hallway incident, "I was going down there to get him (Hartley) and I would have"
