Marc-Andre Fleury has always been known for his athletic ability. But this. This was something else.
Fleury made a spectacular desperation, sprawling save on Daniel Alfredsson in the shootout of Wednesday’s 4-3 win for the Pittsburgh Penguins.
It looked like Alfredsson had Fleury beat and a wide open net to bury the puck. But Fleury rolled over onto his back and threw out the glove to make the save. We’ve seen this before in the past - from goaltending great Dominik Hasek.
