The Nashville Predators are probably just playing out the string at this point – at least if you believe Sports Club Stats, which gives them zero chance of making the playoffs – but that isn’t stopping them from letting players like Seth Jones return from injuries.
Their 2013 first-rounder (fourth overall) is expected to return from “concussion-like” symptoms in Saturday’s game against the San Jose Sharks. Rugged center Paul Gaustad is also believed to be ready to go, according to what head coach Barry Trotz told the Tennessean’s Josh Cooper.
It’s been an up-and-down year for the 19-year-old, who managed 24 points in 72 games with a -23 rating. Jones suffered that injury thanks to a hit by Chicago Blackhawks forward Andrew Shaw on March 22:
