Hockey Canada has named Rob Blake as its general manager for the 2014 World Championship in Belarus.

Blake -- currently in his first season as assistant GM of the Los Angeles Kings -- will be aided by Flyers assistant GM Ron Hextall, Coyotes assistant GM Brad Treliving, and longtime Hockey Canada exec Brad Pascall.

Blake and Hextall are both well-known former players who are considered potential future NHL general managers. Treliving is not as well known, but obviously Hockey Canada thinks highly of his abilities.

The coaching staff will be announced later.

Canada kicks off the tournament May 9 versus France.
