Robidas to make Ducks debut versus Caps

Acquired from Dallas prior to the deadline, veteran defenseman Stephane Robidas will make his Anaheim Ducks debut tonight at home to Washington.

“I think the main thing is [that] I’ve got to keep everything really simple,” Robidas said, per NHL.com. “It’s a new team for me. It’s the first time in a while, so there’s a lot of things going on for me [Tuesday]. But I’m very excited. I’ve been waiting for that moment for a long time. I’m a little nervous, but at the same time I’m excited, so it’s good.”

Adding to the butterflies might be the fact 37-year-old hasn’t played a game since Nov. 29, when he broke his leg against the Blackhawks. Prior to the injury, Robidas was averaging around 20 minutes a night for the Stars, with four goals and one assist in 24 games.

PS — still no word on Cam Fowler’s health status. The young Anaheim d-man had an MRI on his leg today.
