Those quick to overreact might be concerned about the Chicago Blackhawks, but getting a near point-per-game player may ease those worries. Marian Hossa will “definitely” return against the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday, according to various sources including’s Tracey Myers.

The 35-year-old has been sidelined with an upper-body injury since March 1.

He’s been his usually useful self when healthy, though, collecting 24 goals and 50 points in 57 games while remaining a renowned two-way player for the ‘Hawks.

Hossa comes in with Chicago on a two-game losing streak but in a position to better its position going forward. They host the Red Wings tonight and then travel to Philadelphia on Tuesday before beginning a four-game homestand on Wednesday. Getting a high-end forward like Hossa back could help them make the most of a potentially lucrative part of their schedule.
