The Columbus Blue Jackets agreed to terms for an entry-level contract with forward Marko Dano on Friday.

Dano, 19, was selected 27th overall in 2013. He’s the third of three first-rounders Columbus selected in 2013, as they also nabbed Alexander Wennberg (14th) and Kerby Rychel (19th) before selecting Dano. It was a nice prospect rebuilding year for the organization, as they selected four different players in the NHL’s top 50 picks.

Dano has spent the last two seasons with the KHL team Bratislava Slovan, a team located in his hometown of Bratislava, Slovakia. He had seven points in 37 games as a rookie and five in 41 games this season, so it might take him a while to find his game before he can make an NHL impact.

The Columbus Dispatch’s Aaron Portzline believes he’ll receive a look with the AHL’s Springfield Falcons, immigration pending.
