Interesting news out of Calgary -- according to Sportsnet’s Fan 960, forward Lane MacDermid has opted to retire.
MacDermid, 24, was acquired by Calgary from Dallas in November and appeared in one game for the Flames, spending most of his time with AHL Abbotsford.The Lane MacDermid situation got a little clearer. He’s officially filed his retirement papers, according to Craig Conroy. #Flames
