Habs believe Jets got away with infractions on Gallagher

The Montreal Canadiens are puzzled that the Winnipeg Jets weren’t penalized late in Sunday’s game during this exchange with Brendan Gallagher:

By Habs head coach Michel Therrien’s count, the Jets could have been penalized five times during that final minute incident with Gallagher, NHL.com’s Arpon Basu reports. No call was made, however, as the Jets held on for a 2-1 win.

Gallagher, 21, didn’t even answer questions after the game, but Josh Gorges did the venting for him.

“I don’t know if there’s a grudge or something,” Gorges told reporters including the Montreal Gazette’s Brenda Branswell. “That’s not the difference (today). It’s just a frustrating end to the game.”
