Forward Kris Versteeg was not on the Chicago Blackhawks’ bench to begin the third period, according to the team’s Twitter account.
Versteeg’s last shift came at the end of the second period, according to NHL.com.

Versteeg gave the Blackhawks a 2-0 lead late in the first period with his ninth goal of the season. Since coming back to Chicago in a trade with the Florida Panthers, Versteeg has six goals and 16 points.
Updated: Versteeg is listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury and will be re-evaluated on Saturday.
