From Newsday’s Arthur Staple:

The fifth overall draft pick in 2011, forward Ryan Strome made his NHL debut on Dec. 14 versus Montreal. In 15 games with the Islanders, he scored once and added three assists while logging an average of 13:31 in ice time.

The Isles saw their four-game win streak snapped last night with a 4-2 loss in Florida to the Panthers.

Strome, 20, scored his first NHL goal on Jan. 6 in a 7-3 victory over the Stars.
