As Boston Bruins head coach Claude Julien said, the NHL faces some tough decisions regarding handling discipline from Saturday’s game between the Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins. Apparently Pascal Dupuis’ slash on Chris Kelly won’t be one of those considerations.
At least, that’s how it appears at the moment, as the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review’s Josh Yohe reports that there isn’t a disciplinary hearing planned:
NHL official just told me that, as of now, no disciplinary action/hearing has been scheduled for Dupuis in light of Kelly broken ankle.

The “as of now” is worth noting, although it seems like the case is probably closed, even though the slash landed Kelly, 33, on the LTIR. (Kelly cannot return anytime sooner than Jan. 2.)
