Video: Malkin beats everyone to set up Neal goal

Neal goal

Much has been made lately about Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin’s lack of goals this season and yet he still ranks seventh in the NHL’s scoring race.

Malkin might not be finding the back of the net often, but he’s only been held off the scoresheet once in the Penguins’ last 11 games. It’s hard to say he’s truly slumping because of that, especially when he gives performances like he did yesterday.

The 27-year-old skated from one end of the ice to the other, beating every Montreal player on the ice in the process, except for goaltender Carey Price. Instead he fed the puck to James Neal, who collected the goal.

You can watch that play below:

Malkin hit his tailbone, but he’s fine, according to the Penguins. Unfortunately for Pittsburgh, Montreal still won 3-2.
