The Minnesota Wild continue to keep pace in the Central Division.
The Wild, despite what may not have been their best overall effort, defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 3-2 in the shootout Saturday night. The Wild scored on all three of their shootout attempts.
For the Wild, that’s four wins in their last five games. The win gives them 24 points, which is only two back of the Colorado Avalanche for the division lead.
But despite the two points, one player had an honest assessment of his team’s performance.
“We were slow and fortunate to get it to overtime the way we played,” said Wild defenseman Ryan Suter, as per Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
