The New York Islanders brought big forward Brock Nelson back from the AHL on Sunday, according to Michael Fornabaio of the Connecticut Post.
Nelson, 22, scored one point (an assist) in four games so far with the Islanders this season. The Isles selected him 30th overall in 2010.
Speaking of Isles roster moves, New York Newsday’s Arthur Staple points out that a lack of a move on Sunday regarding Lubomir Visnovsky might be a good sign. The defenseman suffered a concussion last night, but the team hasn’t recalled another defenseman or placed him on the injured reserve (yet?).
The Islanders have plenty of time to change that, however, as they don’t play again until they host the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday.
