Carolina has inked Radek Dvorak after bringing him to camp on a PTO, signing the veteran forward to a one-year deal worth $600,000.

“Radek is an veteran player, and he has shown us throughout training camp that he can contribute to the Hurricanes,” 'Canes GM Jim Rutherford said in a statement. “His versatility and experience give our coaching staff a number of options with our lineup.”

Dvorak, 36, spent last season in Anaheim, joining the Ducks late in the season after a stint with Davos in the Swiss National A League. He appeared in nine regular-season contests for Anaheim, scoring four goals, but didn’t dress for any of the club’s postseason games.

The Czech winger has played in 1,200 career NHL contests and, in his last full season (2011-12 with Dallas), scored 21 points in 73 games while averaging 14:17 TOI per night.
