The Florida Panthers are starting to act like a team with a more stable ownership situation. One won’t consider Saturday’s trade groundbreaking, but instead crowd-pleasing, as they re-acquired enforcer Krys Barch along with a seventh-round pick in 2015 from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for Scott Timmins and their sixth-rounder in 2014.
Barch, 33, played in 41 games for the Panthers in 2011-12 and 22 contests for the Devils in 2013. The majority of his NHL experience came with the Dallas Stars.
While Barch has 326 regular season contests under his belt, Timmins has only played in 24 NHL contests, although he’s only 24 years old.
