Some Red Wings injury updates, via the Detroit Free Press:

---- Daniel Alfredsson won’t play tonight versus Pittsburgh at Joe Louis Arena; the 40-year-old winger is still out with a sore groin.

---- D-man Jonathan Ericsson is also out, with a thigh contusion he calls “nothing serious.”

---- Forward Darren Helm (groin) skated with teammates today, but say it’s “very unlikely” he’ll play this week.

The Wings have lost their last two preseason games, 2-0 to Boston on Saturday and 4-3 to Chicago on Sunday. They play the Leafs back-to-back Friday and Saturday to close out their exhibition slate.

Henrik Zetterberg, Pavel Datsyuk and Niklas Kronwall apparently won’t play versus the Pens either. No injuries. Just healthy scratches.
