Vancouver Canucks winger David Booth is expected to return to the lineup against the Edmonton Oilers Saturday, more than six months since his last National Hockey League game.
Booth suffered a season-ending ankle injury on March 16 and, as a result, underwent surgery.
Booth had begun skating with his teammates this week and head coach John Tortorella confirmed Booth is expected to play in Saturday’s exhibition game in Edmonton.

Booth’s time in Vancouver has been plagued by injuries.
In the lockout-shortened season, he suffered a groin injury early in training camp but returned Feb. 19, a month into the season.
Success proved difficult to come by, even after his return. He scored only once - an empty-net goal - and had a pair of assists.
