After just four days, the Utica Comets, the new American Hockey League affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, seem to be doing well in season ticket sales.
According to The Observer-Dispatch in Utica, the Comets have, as of Wednesday, already hit the 1,000-mark in season ticket sales after just four days since tickets went on sale.
“The Utica Comets hockey fans have just blown us away,” Comets president Robert Esche told The Observer-Dispatch. He went on to call it “a great indicator as to just how ready Utica, NY is for AHL hockey.”
Last week, the Canucks announced their new AHL affiliate in Utica. The Comets begin play in the 2013-14 AHL season.
