Former Sens coach Clouston named Prince Albert’s new bench boss

Former Ottawa Senators head coach Cory Clouston has been named the new head coach of the WHL’s Prince Albert Raiders.

“We are excited to have Cory join our team,” Raiders general manager Bruno Campese said in a release. “He brings experience from different levels and has a proven track record of winning. Cory’s work ethic is second to none and is very disciplined in his approach.”

Clouston coached the Senators from Feb. 2, 2009, to Apr. 9, 2011, compiling a record of 95-83-20 before being replaced by Paul MacLean.

In 2011-12, Clouston was the head coach of the WHL’s Brandon Wheat Kings; however, he was fired after just one season (which apparently did not go very well) at the helm.
