Lightning’s Crombeen cross-checks Canes’ Gleason from behind

Earlier this month, the Tampa Bay Lightning signed B.J. Crombeen to a two-year contract extension. If his recent behavior is any indication, he could make a lot of enemies in that time period.

The 27-year-old might hear from the NHL after this cross-check from behind on Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Tim Gleason from Sunday’s 3-2 Canes win (GIF via SBNation.com):

Gleason was helped off the ice after that hit, which happened late in the game. Pierre-Cedric Labrie received a cross-checking penalty, but Crombeen went unpunished.
