Florida Panthers defenseman Erik Gudbranson received a match penalty for a high hit on Winnipeg Jets forward Bryan Little on Thursday night.

The incident occurred with one minute remaining in the second period of the Jets’ 7-2 win over the Panthers.

Little was bleeding from the hit. Could this incident lead to further supplementary discipline for Gudbranson?

Earlier in the day, the NHL suspended New Jersey Devils defenseman Anton Volchenkov four games for an elbow to the head of Bruins forward Brad Marchand.
