PHT’s Morning Skate takes a look around the world of hockey to see what’s happening and what we’ll be talking about around the NHL world and beyond.

Philadelphia Flyers forwards Danny Briere and Sean Couturier, who are both on prolonged goal scoring slumps, have been paired up with Simon Gagne. Briere and Couturier have been frequently moved in the depth charts this season, so we’ll see if this combination proves to be the answer to their woes. (CSN Philly)

Boston Bruins forward Chris Kelly didn’t play Tuesday night due to a lower-body injury sustained during Chris Neil’s knee-on-knee hit in Monday’s contest against Ottawa. He will need to be evaluated further within the next couple of days. (NHL.com)

Matt Stajan recorded his 300th career point over the weekend, but these days he’s focused more on his role as a shutdown center. (Calgary Sun)
