The Pittsburgh Penguins have agreed to terms with veteran forward Tom Kostopoulos on a one-year, two-way, $600,000 deal, according to Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Kostopoulos, 34, had been playing with Pittsburgh’s AHL affiliate in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on a professional try out, appearing in 17 games and notching 3G-4A-7PTS.

A veteran of over 600 NHL games, Kostopoulos was originally drafted by Pittsburgh in 1999 and spent four seasons with the organization before moving to Los Angeles in 2005-06.

He spent last season in Calgary, scoring 4G-8A-12PTS in 81 games.

According to the Penguins website, Kostopoulos will be placed on waivers on Tuesday at 12 p.m. ET. If he clears, he’ll be re-assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Wednesday afternoon.
