Jay Beagle is wondering if the Capitals “have to sacrifice a cow or something”

The Washington Capitals lost again last night. This time, it was a 3-2 home defeat to Toronto.

The Caps are now 2-7-1 -- the worst record in the NHL -- and, apparently, they’re considering taking drastic measures.

“I don’t know if we have to sacrifice a cow or something,” said forward Jay Beagle, per CSNWashington.com. “I don’t know what we have to do.”

Keeping the puck out of the net is one thing the Caps could try. Their 3.60 goals-against average is 27th in the league.

Also, they need to score more goals -- they’re tied for 24th (2.30) in that category.

The penalty kill (23rd) and power play (14th) aren’t very good either. They could try and improve those.

But if there’s a cow available...
